1. Unclog drains with baking soda

When you have a choked drain, use Friendly Eco Might tip, i.e., just pour a cup of baking soda and white vinegar into your choked drain. Plug the drain using stopper and leave it for 15 minutes. After sometime, pour hot water into the drain.

2. Clean pots without scrubbing

Add two to three tablespoons of baking soda to your pot filled with a few inches of water. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes.

You can make heavily stained pots to look brand new. But how? Well, the answer is simple. Make a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and then scrub on your pots.

3. Kill bad smells

The acidic molecules result many bad or musty smells, and that is why baking soda is very helpful in clearing up odors with its pH balancing properties. Bad smells in your fridge can be reduced by keeping baking soda in an open vessel and replace it every 6 months for best results.

4. Freshen your mattress

5. Carpets

If you feel that your carpet is a little musty, then sprinkle some baking soda powder and vacuum it up (same as the mattress trick). You can also scrub out stains on the carpet by baking soda and water.

6. Clean the oven

This method may probably be used by your grandmother to clean her oven. Spread the paste of water and baking soda in the oven or fridge and leave it for about 12 hours. Using a spatula, scrap off the dried paste and wipe the residue with a rag.

7. Counters, tiles and linoleum floors

Paste of water and baking soda makes a great scrub for any type of surface in the house. You can clean the tiles, linoleum floors and marble without harsh chemicals.

8. Grout

Use baking soda and an old toothbrush to grime off the grout.

9. Toilets

Baking soda has impressive abrasion qualities to clean porcelain. You just need to sprinkle baking soda, scrub and flush.

10. Whiten your linens

Mix with 1:1 ratio of lemon juice to baking soda to your white towels, sheets, clothing and make them even whiter, as this mixture works as a bleaching agent.

11. Wash your hair

Baking soda can de-grease without worrying about chemicals. Mix with a ratio of 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a cup of water in a bottle and shake it up. Then, massage it around head for about a minute before rinsing. Some follow this method with apple cider vinegar for rinsing.
